Quebec’s Cablovision Warwick Selects Adara Technologies For Digital Video Upgrade

Game-changer Cloud Solution Includes Switched Digital Video Capability Enabling Hundreds of HD Channels

TORONTO, ON – September 10, 2013 – Adara Technologies Inc., the provider of game-changer, cloud-delivered video solutions that enable mid-to-small sized service providers to affordably revolutionize their video business, today announced that it has partnered to launch a comprehensive digital video network upgrade solution for Cablovision Warwick of Quebec, Canada, a triple-play cable operator with 2,000 subscribers. The upgrade is designed to immediately deliver increased operational control, reduced operational costs and business risk while enabling a success-based, pay-as-you-grow mechanism for revolutionizing the service provider’s consumer experience with video services over a 10+ year horizon.

The solution’s hosted and managed Switched Digital Video capability enables the addition of hundreds of incremental HD channels. Combined with advanced, web-connected set-top boxes upgradable to a next-generation User Experience, the solution provides operators the option of delivering compelling applications such as IPTV widgets, Impulse Up-Sell, OTT video, enhanced global search, interactive Social TV applications and Whole Home DVR, more traditionally associated with the latest Tier One operator implementations. In addition, Cablovision Warwick has tightly aligned 100% of the project’s costs with subscriber revenue by taking advantage of one of Adara’s zero-CAPEX, all-OPEX financing options.

“We expect an energized and flexible service offering combined with significantly reduced costs and risk as a result of the Adara launch,” said David Ouellette, CEO, Cablovision Warwick, “and we are particularly excited about winning back video subscribers as a result of delivering new customer services and experiences.”

“Cablovision Warwick’s partnership with Adara stands in contrast to a ‘go-it-alone’ strategy,” said Joseph Nucara, Adara’s CEO. “Together, Cablovision Warwick and Adara illustrate the value of a cloud-powered relationship, enabling leading technology, core business benefit, providing a path to long-term market success. With less than 2000 subscribers, there is a clear demonstration of the solution’s ability to scale profitably to smaller operators.

“Cablovision Warwick is containing risk and controlling costs and at the same time implementing the Adara cloud-based SDV solution to expand its HD offering to hundreds of channels,” continued Nucara. “Our already-deployed suite of powerful solution capabilities enables our partners to add revolutionary new video service innovations quickly – in weeks or months, not years – as our customers’ competitive pressures and opportunities warrant.”

Adara’s hosted and managed video solution represents a unique breakthrough in that it is applicable to Moto-shops and Cisco-shops alike and does not require a fork-lift replacement of the operator’s investment in set-top boxes, CAS and headend.

Adara Technologies Launches Digital Video Upgrade Solution For Two Service Providers

Game-Changer, Cloud Solution Boasts Powerful Switched Digital Video Capability for Enabling Hundreds of HD Channels

TORONTO, ON – May 29, 2013 – Adara Technologies Inc., the provider of game-changer, cloud-delivered video solutions that enable mid-to-small sized service providers to affordably revolutionize their video business, today announced that it has successfully launched its digital video network upgrade solution for two additional service providers—Darien Communications of Georgia and Beaver Creek Telephone (BCT) of Oregon. The upgrades are designed to immediately reduce operational costs and business risk while enabling a success-based, pay-as-you-grow mechanism for revolutionizing each provider’s consumer experience with video services over a 10+ year horizon.

The solution’s hosted and managed Switched Digital Video upgrade capability enables the addition of hundreds of incremental HD channels. Combined with advanced, web-connected set-top boxes upgradable to a next-generation User Experience, the solution enables operators the option of delivering compelling applications such as IPTV widgets, Impulse Up-Sell, OTT video, enhanced global search, interactive Social TV applications and Whole Home DVR, more traditionally associated with the latest Tier One operator implementations.

Darien Communications, Inc., a subsidiary of Darien Telephone Company, Inc. and a triple-play service provider with approximately 3,000 subscribers in Southeast Georgia, chose to partner with Adara over a ‘go-it-alone’ strategy. “We expect significantly reduced costs and risk as a result of the Adara launch,” said Johnny Zoucks, Darien Communications’ COO, “and are particularly excited about delivering new customer services and experiences.”

“I am confident with the expertise that Adara brings to the table,” said Mark Beaudry, VP Operations at BCT, which provides quadruple communications services to Beavercreek, Oregon City and surrounding areas. “It will help BCT more quickly achieve our goal of providing more advanced services to our customers and also enable us to provide better, more responsive and proactive customer service which we know will improve our retention and reduce churn.”

“While our immediate focus with both Darien Communications and BCT is operational cost and risk reduction, we are already planning to leverage our solution’s powerful SDV-in-the-cloud capability, advanced User Experience and IP apps and widgets,” said Joseph Nucara, Adara’s CEO. “Our already-deployed suite of powerful solution capabilities enables our partners to add revolutionary new video service innovations quickly – in weeks or months, not years – as our customers’ competitive pressures and opportunities warrant.”

Adara Technologies Turns Up Game-Changer Video Solution With Quebec City Operator

Cloud-Delivered Switched Digital Video and Advanced User Interface to Enable Advanced Video Services, Hundreds of HD Channels

TORONTO, ON – July 31, 2012 – Adara Technologies Inc., the provider of game-changer, cloud-delivered video solutions that enable mid-to-small sized service providers to affordably revolutionize their video business, today announced that it has launched its powerful services solution with Coopérative de Câblodistribution de L’Arrière Pays (CCAP) of Quebec City, a triple-play service provider with 13,000 video subscribers. The solution’s cloud-delivered Switched Digital Video (SDV) and next-generation set-top box user interface will enable the operator to deliver hundreds of HD channels and advanced, IP-based interactive video services to its subscribers. “Our revolutionary and compelling new services and capabilities enable us to win against satellite and growing IPTV competition,” said Jacques Perron, CCAP’s General Manager. “The SDV capability not only allows us to quickly surpass satellite’s HD channel offering, but it also prepares us for an imminent future in the next few years when we will need to deliver an exclusively HD line-up of hundreds of channels,” continued Jacques Lemoine, CCAP’s Director of Technical Services. Adara’s hosted and managed video solution is a unique breakthrough in that it is applicable to Moto-shops and Cisco-shops alike and does not require a fork-lift replacement of the operators’ investment in set-top boxes, CAS and headend. The solution incorporates SDV technology in a cloud-delivered implementation to cost-effectively enable the delivery of hundreds, even thousands, of HD channels. It also combines Cisco’s advanced, web-connected set-top boxes with an advanced, next generation UI for interactive web applications, widgets and provider-controlled over-the-top (OTT) content services. “Adara’s suite of remote diagnostic, reporting and control utilities are a tremendous bonus,” added Stéphane Arseneau, CCAP’s Director of Administration and Customer Service. “These will help us provide better, more responsive and even proactive customer service which we know will improve our retention and reduce churn,” he continued. While Adara’s solution delivers many times the effective incremental network capacity compared to an analog reclamation approach using Digital Terminal Adapters (DTA), Adara’s solution costs only a fraction — one twentieth, on average — of that of a DTA approach. “Many of the operators approaching us today have already completed analog reclamation and, with their addition of only 100 HD channels, the reclaimed spectrum is already completely full again,” said Joseph Nucara, Adara’s CEO. “With our SDV approach combined with our advanced User Interface and IP apps & widgets, time-to-market is fast — 4 months typically – and the operator’s video business gains a renewed lifespan of 10 to 15 years.”

CCAP Selects Adara Technologies for Hosted Switched Digital Video Upgrade

To Deliver Advanced Video Services, More HD Channels to Subscribers

TORONTO, ON – July 25, 2011 – Adara Technologies Inc., the provider of cloud-based, hosted and managed advanced video solutions that enable mid-to-small sized service providers to affordably implement advanced video services, today announced that it has been selected by Coopèrative de Câblodistribution de L’Arrière Pays (CCAP) of Quebec City, a triple-play service provider with 13,000 video subscribers, to upgrade its network using Adara’s hosted Switched Digital Video (SDV) solution.

To-date, CCAP has delivered all of its video services by operating as a hub-site of a large Tier 1 MSO, giving the company limited control, flexibility and access to advanced services. It sought ways to bring advanced interactive video services, more HD and increased service package flexibility to its subscribers while augmenting the opportunities for improved IPG, branding and overall service to customers.

“We never imagined that there would be a cost-effective way for us, or any small operator, to implement SDV,” said Jacques Lemoine, CCAP’s Director of Technical Services. “And then we learned that Cable Cable Inc.—an operator in Ontario less than one third the size of CCAP – had achieved great success over the past few years after having deployed the hosted and managed SDV solution from Adara. We are looking for equally spectacular results.”

Adam’s hosted and managed video solution is a unique breakthrough in that it is applicable to any provider irrespective of whether they are currently invested ma Motorola, Cisco/SA. or other legacy digital video headend, CAS and associated set-top boxes. The solution incorporates Cisco’s SDV technology to deliver even hundreds of incremental HD services and it also combines Cisco’s advanced, web-connected set-top boxes with an advanced, next generation UI for interactive web applications, widgets and delivery of provider-controlled over-the-top (OTT) content.

“We are very encouraged by how Adara’s hosted and managed video solutions help smaller operators like us control our own destiny,” said Stéphane Arseneau, CCAP’s Director of Administration and Customer Service. “Our ultimate success in the video business is a direct result of our ability to delight our customers with the state-of-art services they desire. If we cannot deliver, our customers will go elsewhere.”

“With SDV, CCAP will now be able to add even hundreds of HD and SD, French- and English-language programs to its service offerings” said Joseph Nucara, Adam’s CEO and Co-founder. “All without the customer disruption, burden and huge costs that would otherwise be associated other DTV solution options.”

While Adam’s solution delivers many times more effective incremental network capacity (plus a host of additional unmatched features and benefits) compared to an analog reclamation approach to bandwidth management using Digital Terminal Adapters (DTA), it costs only a fraction of that of a DTA approach — as little as one-twentieth or even less depending upon the system size — and, in cooperation with partner Cisco Capital, leasing and financing options are available to help providers more effectively manage their cash flows in a more success-based, pay-as-you-grow fashion.

Adara Technologies Cisco SDV Solution Increases Digital Subscribers By 400% With Increased ARPU For Independent Cable Operator

Cable Cable of Ontario Benefits from Advanced Video Services at Fraction of Cost of Alternative Solutions

TORONTO, ON – May 25, 2011 – Adara Technologies Inc., the provider of cloud-based, hosted and managed video solutions that enable mid-to-small sized service providers to deliver advanced video services, today announced that Cable Cable Inc., a Canadiancable television operator with 4,200 cable subscribers in Ontario, has quadrupled its number of digital subscribers, with a corresponding increase in ARPU (Average Revenue per Unit), in the two years that the cable operator has deployed the Adara switche ddigital video (SDV) solution.

Also, since the launch of the solution in 2009, Cable Cable has increased by nearly 500% the number of HD channels it now offers to subscribers, from 25 HD channels at launch (and nomore room to grow) to 100 HD channels today with ample amount of bandwidth to continue adding more HD services every quarter.

“We could not be more delighted with the phenomenal success we have achieved through theAdara Technologies solution in just two years,” said Tony Fiorini, President and Owner of CableCable. “Prior to launching with Adara, we had no way of making the critical improvements toour service offering. Our video service now rivals that of the largest Tier1 operators in metro areas in North America and we easily have the best product available in our area.” Continued Cable Cable General Manager Michael Fiorini, “Recognizing that, normally, SDV is acomplicated technology to deploy and operate fora small operator, with Adara’s expertise andhosted and managed implementation, it was as easy and transparent to our customers as flickinga switch.”

The Adara hosted and managed solution incorporates Cisco’s revolutionary yet widely-deployed and proven Switched Digital Video technology with Cisco’s legacy and advanced digital set-topboxes to enable advanced interactive and HD video services for service providers. Designed to co-exist with other (e.g. Motorola) digital video platforms set-top boxes and conditional access technologies that service providers may currently be supporting, the solution’s cost is a fraction of the cost of alternative solutions, as much as one-tenth or less in some cases. “We are so glad that we didn’t pursue analog reclamation using DTAs,” continued Michael Fiorini. “That alone would have cost us millions of dollars with a lot of pain and customer disruption over, at least, a two year roll-out. Instead, this [Adara SDV solution] cost us a small fraction of that and we were live in four months.”

“Before now, mid-to-small sized operators have been at a significant disadvantage,” said Joseph Nucara, CEO and Co-Founder of Adara Technologies. “Deployment of such advanced video technology as SDV was not an option for independent providers. Either the cost was prohibitive, the technology was too complicated or it was simply not made available to them because of their size. The Adara hosted and managed solution makes it possible for any service provider to dramatically upgrade its service offering in a game-changing way to compete with anyone on alevel playing field, or better.”
